Michael asks…

How good is The Body Shop tea tree range for kind of oily and spotty skin? Would you recommend it?

Not sure whether to switch to Body Shop range? Also is it necessary to use a 3 step thing or 2 step like face wash and moisturise? At the moment I just use a face wash? Also the body shop have two face washes.. a foaming one and another one which should I use? If not Body Shop any other good brands? Am in the UK by the way! Thank you very much!

The Expert answers:

Origins found in John Lewis, trust me its the best thing ive ever used.
I use to suffer with really oily skin, blackheads and breakouts until i tryed Origins face wash cleanser, toner, moistruiser and exfoliater twice a week. I started to notice a difference in a week. Ive now been using Origins for two weeks and my face has cleared up so much its like a miracle. The only problem with Origins is quite expensive. A cleanser facewash, toner, moistruiser and exfoliater all cost me about 60.00 pounds but its well worth it. Look on the website www.origins.co.uk or www.origins.com to speak to a adviser on what products will be best for you.
If you dont want to spend that much i do think body shop products are ok ive used them myself they did work but not as good as Origins. As long as you buy a face wash cleanser, toner and moistruiser, exfoliate twice a week you should start to see a difference. If you use just a face wash your not going to get anywhere. You do really need to cleanse, tone and moistruise AM and PM. If this oily skin is a real problem for you and you take good care do the dailymroutines and making sure you exfoliate once or twice a week you will see a difference.

Daniel asks…

what to do when taking a car from body shop repair after an accident?

New car, had a nasty accident and the Insurance company selected a body repair shop, accepted the shop since I don’t want to go to the hastle of selecting one, and Its being repaired. I’m taking the car after the repair now. I’m worried becasue they might not use genuine parts and I might loose my warranty. I have no clue in body repairs and this is my first time going through it.
1) What things should I consider when I’m taking the car from the body shop?
2) Do I still have the right to ask for repairs if the car is not functional after a week or so?
Please let me know if there is anything else I need to take care of.

The Expert answers:

Call your insurance company and tell them you would rather take it to a dealership so you will get factory parts because you are still under warrenty. Or read your warrenty to see what is covered. Body components aren’t usually covered because they don’t affect anything mechanical. Also, OEM parts that a repair place would use will usually have some sort of warrenty. Do some homework. Nobody on here can tell you these things without doing your footwork for you.

Steven asks…

How can a body shop damage an alternator?

Recently, I was rear-ended and my car (02 Maxima) was in the body shop for a month. Upon picking my car up, I noticed that the clock was wrong and the trunk open indicator was not working. On the way home, my car stopped working. I was told that my alternator went out. Is there anything that the body shop could have done that caused this to happen?

The Expert answers:

It is possible if they did some welding on the body without disconnecting the battery. Th4e amperage used in a welder can overload and destroy the alternator.

If this oily skin is a real problem for you and you take good care do the dailymroutines and making sure you exfoliate once or twice a week you will see a difference.

what to do when taking a car from body shop repair after an accident?

New car, had a nasty accident and the Insurance company selected a body repair shop, accepted the shop since I don’t want to go to the hastle of selecting one, and Its being repaired. I’m taking the car after the repair now. I’m worried becasue they might not use genuine parts and I might loose my warranty. I have no clue in body repairs and this is my first time going through it.
1) What things should I consider when I’m taking the car from the body shop?
2) Do I still have the right to ask for repairs if the car is not functional after a week or so?
Please let me know if there is anything else I need to take care of.
